For those of you that havent figured it out yet, the last post comment was in reguards to me being banned if I brought up the subject of Plaz and his affairs again. Where you got the idea that I was leaving I dont know. Seemingly my baning was 'detoured' when Tux realized his judgement was completel...

the only way to fix these without using detours would be for instance to write a 2nd program with its own interface window that you typed into and that tried to read eq's memory and show you what you wanted. Yeah that the problem there is that mq reads all that data while in a detour so its access ...

If you have the Fseking offsets then please post them......... I dont care if they are right or whatever but they can atleast be used on the emulator or on a LDing connection to a real EQ server after you pull your network cords out of whatever...

Fixing those ghettofully without using detours and about 85% of the MQ source would be easy for any moderate to advanced coder. Im not sure that I wish to contribute anymore, though, as it seems Plaz died and left and left a less-inteligent mamal as myself in charge..

I think saying SOE is the best thing to happen to EQ says a lot about EQ. Ill let other people criticize the rest of your post, because I know they will too... Playing EQ has always been like walking on sharp rocks with no shoes.. The second they get something right, theres always a better angled sh...

Actually the answers are not fixed, they vary based on random data the server sends each time and are also based on the actual address space as well as the contents of memory. Making a memory copy won't work -- too expensive. What we do is: find the memory checker routine and rewrite it so that if ...

Ooh thats great. So our best approach would be to mass infect a lot of EQ players with a trojan that updates itself at each patch and blocks sending/recieving of this 'memory check' packet. SOE will end up banning 25% of their playerbase if distribution is high enough, figure out what happened lift ...

Ok now kaz, does the server specify in this 'random' packet what range to scan and how large it is? Or does EQ know what locations to check and it just checks them when sent some weird packet that starts with.. say... 0x32 and the rest is evenly divisible by 67? If its the client that knows what/whe...

I think we need a vertical height limit for any off normal species posting. Something like you need to be atleast 3 feet tall and not smell like chicken *eyes duck* to be allowed to post.. But you think I crave attention? Hrm... Nah thats not possible. Us wolves have the largest sheeth to body ratio...

otis -- I stopped arguing with people that tell me to <..> off because they dont like what I'm saying. If you consider what Tux did a free service then thats fine. I consider general abuseive rudeness due to ego problems a dis-service myself. Shocks -- I didnt say Plaz owes/owed me anything or mean ...

Its ignorant how abusinve mods are on this board when you post something they dont want to hear. Even simply the fact that one will tell you to STFU because they have NO CLUE what the post is even about shows maturity. Changing my previous post to 'I suck' was true quality in moderating by my opinio...
