Soulmarks are for the account but unless they've changed in the past few years, they are tied to a specific server (and there is a web-based database which notes the server but lets you search for them all). Since the web database is more comprehensive and doesn't require a GM to log into the game t...

What it really boils down to is there is no contract between you and Sony. Sony provides a service, you subscribe to it. They may discontinue their willingness to provide their service to anyone at any time without any cause. Being a for-profit business, they'd rather not do that of course. They're ...

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this problem... In the MPG Corruption trial (the one where you're fighting a "guild" of "players"), I frequently get into a state where RH shuts down fighting constantly because it falsely thinks my target is enraged. The only way to clear t...

If under 6.0 you work fine until you turn on attack, I'd expect a) you're using moveutils, and b) you didn't do a clean recompile when you patched. If you just compile it, it will use previously-compiled objects and only re-link it. If you do a clean first, it will delete those objects. When I compi...

Cassonova, the points that haven't sunk into you yet (perhaps because you want a better answer?) * Every time MQ2 changes due to a patch there is work involved. Sometimes little, sometimes a large amount, but definitely work. * It's not likely that you will inspire others to take on the gruntwork fo...

Go to a dos window and type "nmake". If it can't be found, you need to get it added to your PATH.

Something I'm considering adding to my own RH once I start playing again is periodic checks of my hunger/thirst values. If they are below an appropriate threshold, the macro will cause me to eat or drink whatever item I've set. This will allow me to keep stat food/drink in top inventory slots, and c...

The day I donated, I received not only confirmation from paypal in my email, but also within an hour, a personal thank you from Lax. Groo, it's safe to assume you didn't receive a thank you from Lax, but did you receive that email from paypal? If not, then the problem is not on any of the dev's shou...

Those numbers are required more and more frequently, to prevent credit card fraud. The theory is it's easier for someone to steal only your CC number, than it is to also get that code. Silly theory in my opinion, but I guess to a limited extent (carelessly discarded receipts/bills) it makes sense. I...

Not all patches result in files being pushed down. This patch is serverside only, assuming servers are back up and still no new files. If they were to implement anything related to cheat detection, I would expect them to do more than just implement serverside changes. Paranoia when you're knowingly ...

Glad you got it running. I wish you knew exactly what was missed so the problem/solution could be easily identified, though if you knew what you missed you wouldn't have missed it in the first place, eh?

There are two (that I see) occurrances of your greater-than sign being replaced with html. Anyone pasting this needs to compensate or the macro will not work.
