Oddities with TestEqGame(from 7/3)

I've been taking a break from EQ for the past few days, and I recently went to update my offsets.. Unfortunately things seem to have changed dramatically. There are very few "Possible StringData" references, a few of which are quite odd("who's yo daddy?" a few times). Basically t...

DKAA asked for the 6-24 offsets. Assuming the .exe in the directory is the 6-24(and I'm pretty sure it is) I built up a set of offsets. I haven't checked this by hand(going to do that now) but here's the preliminary listing. Did a quick handcheck on a few, they're correct. I'm still working on my se...

Grimjack: A suggestion.. Build a grim-bot.mac, and #include it... your bots will be much more lean and mean, and that way you don't have to copy paste your code a thousand times into every bot :)

What happened to the map? SoE already get it nuked? SoE patches a dummy testeqgame.map to make sure anyone who's got it lost it. Dummy is just an empty file, to overwrite. If I had known that a .map would be something useful I woulda posted the file when I got it. *makes a note to announce and save...

Apologies. Was working on a fairly limited amount of sleep when I posted that, guess I misinterpreted what I saw.

there are, in theory, supposed to be two things you can do though.( buff,"buff name") and also (buff, buffslot). The second isn't working

At the moment $char(buff,1) if there's no 1st buff is crashing to desktop with a nice memory read error. I've put in Plazmic's fixes, as well as the structure fix Amadeus posted. using latest CVS(w/ above changes) . Fryfrog is having same problem

Not the most automated of ways, but Excel+W32DASM+XVI32(VERY nice wildcard hex search facility - useful  ) = about 10-15mins to find offsets. MOTD I'll pick up this XVI32, but how exactly would you combine Excel and hte other stuff? I don't have a problem with doing it manually, it's just the...

You were the one that chose to play on Test man ....pretty insane if you ask me and I'm afraid I have very little sympathy for your plight with MQ. Sorry. Heh well I'm not looking for sympathy, just solutions. *shrug* yes it is possible. I have an offset finder that works quite well using systems o...

Offset Finder

Is it feasible? Trying to find offsets for test when they're patching every day/every other day is.. Painful :) I know SEQ had an offset finder, maybe that can be tweaked a bit and ported over to work for us. I'm not a coder, but I'm sure there's some way I could help an enterprising codemonkey.

Question about bad offsets.

Would having a bad offset in my eqgame.ini cause my to kick to serverselect occasionally? I seem to be having that problem, trying to discern the cause.
