SOE comment about hacking

Here is some nice info posted by SOE about hacking and its effects on the game. IMHO MQ2 and similar, should make EQ more enjoyable to play and at the same time not to directly hurt others. We are in a bind here because if we want the game to be rubber-band lag free with respect to player movement, ...

bug

I had the same probelm. Instant crash when my toon tried to enter the world. I tried 5 times with no luck, I ended up logging in with no MQ2, closing my map window ( I was in POF). I then enabled MQ2 and was able to log in fine. I loged off and on 2 more times and just fine, then opened the map wind...

/itemnotify

I am still can't get /itemnotify to work. I am using the following syntax "/itemnotify rightear rightmouseup" to to a right click on a item. If I mis-spell the item name or the notification I get a MQ2 errror, other wise it seems to do nothing. I have 29march version, with all plugins inst...

stupid

You Fking dumb arse. EQ is a game! Not some moronic contest where pubesent boys get there jollies. Most people use MQ to help make the game more enjoyable or more profitable. It's dimwits like you that get undue attention to MQ. As is, there is enough public and private spamming going on without pea...

Embedded > < symbols in $if

I have writen a nice target ui mod. To maximize space and versility I used the $if command to make the UI sentitive to the enviroment. As a examlple When I target a NPC I get its class, level and name (as well as other info), If I target a PC I get its class, level and guild (as well as other info), I...

code

if you write the macro, use the EQ command /autoinv. It cuts down on some code and is fast.

afaik

AFAIK $combat has never worked the way people expected. While it should reflect the status of the "Q" key it seems indicate that you are hitting or missing a target. Also others have posted that bards holding instruments $combat seems to be bugged. Here is a post called "$combat worki...

tip

though slightly unrelated I did a faux pau a few weaks ago. If I remember I typed a MQ command with a /g so the entire group saw it. I IMEADIATALLY retyped the message to appear as if I was trying to say somthing. So they saw "target npc nag" and I then typed like "our target gonna be...

CTD with /echo $target(animation)

Doing a /echo $target(animation) with no target is a CTD error. Having a target is seems to work fine.

Also it would be nice to have a $target(AnimationText) that return a 1 word description of what is the animation effect.
